The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia present:
To the Power of Three:
An Intermingling of Music and Art
Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. - Free Admission
The Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, the city’s preeminent ensemble for early music, is thrilled to announce the opening of its seventeenth season. On September 20th, 2014, the ABO will host a popup concert intermingling music and art in one of Atlanta’s foremost contemporary visual arts complexes, MOCA GA, bringing together old and new in a celebration of Atlanta’s burgeoning arts scene. Artistic director Julie Andrijeski joins forces with Atlanta natives Evan Few and Antonia Nelson in a program of fiery, kaleidoscopic works for three violins and continuo by the likes of Gabrieli, Marini, and Purcell. Guest artists Adam Jaffe, also hailing from Atlanta, and Anneke Schaul-Yoder bring the bass line to life and complete the musical picture. We invite you to join us, to be moved by music and art, and to see what happens when the 17th century meets and mingles with the 21st.
Admission: free – Wine & bites provided – Parking: on the street, Bennett Street NW
